The Alice in Wonderland Chair
Beautiful Chinese silk with a dash of Mad Hatter

This unique, luxurious piece is designed to take pride of place in any empty corner of a room. The rich fabric brings to mind zebras and tigers, and the single back leg is carved in an elephant foot style from beech. For extra comfort, the chair also comes with a supporting triangular back cushion with a black leather covering (not shown in picture).

The Baronial style has its roots in the sixteenth century but became even more popular with the Victorians. As often happens with design, this little nugget of gorgeousness came from the luscious embroidery of the silk cloth its upholstered with. The shaped petals are solid beech pieces bolted through the main frame of the chair, and the effect is a show-stopper. We moved through many iterations to arrive here and it was surely worth the journey. This is a chair born to bring the sun into the world for all who seek it.
